Hexy

Hex.pm package stats, in your menu bar.

Hexy is for people who publish on Hex.pm and want to know how their packages are doing without keeping a tab open. It lives in the macOS menu bar, and on iOS as a small home for the same data.

Type your Hex.pm username and Hexy quietly tracks every package you own. Daily downloads, weekly trends, version drops, and a sparkline that shows whether things are going up or sideways. Add anyone else's packages to follow them too.

Built natively in SwiftUI for both macOS and iOS. Localized in 9 languages. No accounts, no servers, no analytics. Just the public Hex.pm API and iCloud key-value sync between your devices.

Made for the BEAM community: Elixir, Erlang and Gleam packages each get a colored language tag, detected from build_tools metadata.

Meet Hexy

Hexy the multicolor owl mascot

Hexy is a multicolor owl. The plumage runs through the same palette the app uses to tag languages: pink for Gleam, purple for Elixir, red for Erlang... Owls watch quietly at night, which is exactly what a stats tracker should do.

The name

Short for Hex.pm, with a friendlier ending. The hexagon, the package manager's mark, folded into something you can keep in a corner of the screen.
